The SBDC at Binghamton often serves as host for visitors from Russia and the Ukraine for a day or two to acquaint them with US business practices and a crash course in free enterprise.

Through the commitment of Central New York Congressman James T. Walsh, funding was established to hire a business counselor in the Onondaga Community College and Binghamton University offices of the SBDC. The Veteran’s Advisor at OCC is Brian Hanson (315-498-6070). In Binghamton it is Gary Barnfather. Their efforts are dedicated to providing SDBC services and assistance to any military veteran whether currently in business or in the start-up phase.
